Internet gateway - it routes the traffic to internet world.
There are different ways to block the traffic for Amazon instances/servers:
there are two firewalls:
ACL(network level firewall)
route table we have access control list (ACL) these are helpful to stop any traffic at a subnet level.
security groups(instance level firewall)
another security is security group these will block traffic at instance level.
